The short version
Some of the links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and then register with the game vendor it points to, the publisher of this site — GABLU Company s.r.o. — may be paid a commission by that vendor's affiliate programme. You pay nothing extra; the commission is paid by the vendor out of its own arrangement, and your price and terms are exactly what they would be if you had arrived at the vendor without us. That is the entire mechanism. Everything below simply spells it out so there is no room for doubt.
Which links are affiliate links
The affiliate links on this site are the ones that send you to a game vendor and are labelled as paid. At present that means the links to the World of Warships website, which appear on the World of Warships page and on the homepage. Each of those links carries a plain line of text next to it stating that it is a paid affiliate link before you click. Links to Australian regulators, to reference pages within this site, and to the vendor for the purpose of citing its official terms are not affiliate links and earn nothing.
Who pays, and what you pay
The commission is paid to the publisher by the vendor's affiliate programme when a reader completes a qualifying action, such as registering an account, after following one of our labelled links. It is a payment between the programme and the publisher. It does not add anything to your cost, it does not change the offer you receive, and it does not depend on you spending money in the game. If the game is free to play and you play it for free, that is unaffected by whether you arrived through an affiliate link.
What the commission does not influence
This is the part that matters most, so it is stated directly. The existence of a commission does not change the substance of what we write, and it does not buy a favourable description. We do not award scores, publish testimonials, or claim to have found a "best" game, so there is no ranking for a payment to distort. The general reference pages — on how these games work, the vocabulary, choosing between them, devices and playing safely — are written to be useful on their own terms and would read exactly the same with every affiliate link removed. The commission does not determine the order of coverage, and it does not cause us to omit a caveat or a risk that a reader ought to know.
What does determine our coverage
Since a commission is not the driver, it is fair to say what is. The site covers one category and, within it, describes firsthand the specific product the publisher has a commercial relationship with — currently World of Warships. The surrounding pages are chosen to answer the questions a reader new to the category would genuinely ask, in the order they tend to arise. That is the honest scope, and it is described more fully on the about page. We would rather tell you plainly that our firsthand coverage is limited to a product we are paid to describe than pretend to a broad independence we do not have.
Why we disclose this in three places
You will find this disclosure in three forms: a visible box near the top of the homepage, a short line of text beside every affiliate link on any page, and this dedicated page. That repetition is deliberate. A reader should be able to understand the commercial arrangement at the moment they are about to click a paid link, not only if they go looking for a policy. Transparency that you have to hunt for is not really transparency.
